Chinese online content platforms including Tencent Music Entertainment (NYSE:TME) and NetEase's (NASDAQ:NTES) (OTCPK:NETTF) Cloud Music have removed live streaming features which analysts say could be used for illegal gambling, at a high cost to their quarterly revenues, Reuters reported.

Analysts noted that the online content platforms removed the features such as virtual lucky draws after the government in June started acting against live streaming, as part of a wider crackdown against online gambling.
